RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team advanced in the ECAC South Region Tournament with a 3-2 win against Fairleigh-Dickinson University Wednesday in Tom Nerney Field House at the Dixon Center. The Cavaliers await the winner of the contest featuring top-seeded Stevenson University and eighth-seeded SUNY – Institute of Technology.

Junior setter Lizzie Williams notched her eighth double-double of the season, pairing a team-high 44 assists with 13 digs. Williams also added six kills, four service aces and three total blocks.

Senior outside hitter Lindsay Martin posted her second double-double of the season with a club-best 16 kills and 15 digs. Martin contributed two service aces.

Freshman outside hitter Alexis Doss tallied 12 kills. Senior middle Kate Fetterman and sophomore middle Stephanie Recklau each recorded nine kills. Recklau led Cabrini with an efficient .381 attack percentage.

Junior outside hitter Traci Beltz collected eight kills.

Defensively, senior libero Michelle Mola totaled a team-best 20 digs. Senior Danielle Finnegan registered 16 digs and freshman Courtney Abel added 15. Recklau notched four block assists.

Despite a 25-23 loss in the first set, the Cavaliers's energized rally from 21-11 down set the stage for wins in games two and three. Cabrini scored 12 of the set's next 14 points before taking a 1-0 deficit.

The Cavaliers grabbed a 2-1 match lead with wins of 25-19 and 25-21 in sets two and three. Cabrini evened the contest at one game apiece behind a .379 team attack percentage in the second frame.

The Devils evened the match at 2-2 and forced a decisive fifth set with a 25-15 win in game four.

The Cavaliers raced to a 12-4 advantage in the fifth game. Back-to-back kills from Fetterman to open the set ignited the surge. Martin's service ace provided a comfortable eight-point edge.

An FDU rally trimmed the lead to 14-10. However, Fetterman's third kill of the game clinched the victory.
