RADNOR, Pa. –
Junior forward Sabina DeGisi's overtime goal, five minutes into the extra session, sparked the Cabrini women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory Saturday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The contest marked the Cavaliers' first overtime game of the 2008 season.

The Cabrini offense registered 36 total shots, including 18 in the second half and seven in the overtime period. DeGisi led the Cavaliers with a team-high 12 shots.

Despite controlling the ball for a majority of the contest, the Cyclones initiated the scoring after 73 minutes of scoreless play. Jen Dexter, off a feed from Bianca Santulli, provided Centenary with a one-goal lead at the 73:18 mark.

The Cavaliers responded less than three minutes later, tying the contest at one goal at the 76:08 mark. Sophomore Dana Nardello's sprint down the left side and into the box resulted in her second score of the season.

The Cyclones attack recorded just six shots and went without an attempt in overtime. Cabrini sophomore goalkeeper Gianna Porretta tallied four saves in the victory.

The Cavaliers' offensive control resulted in a 10-3 advantage in corners.

Cyclone goalkeeper Ashley Denti collected 14 saves in the loss.

Cabrini (5-4-0, 2-0-0) looks to stretch its unbeaten play in Colonial States Athletic Conference competition to three games Wednesday, October 1 at Baptist Bible College. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
