RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's soccer team captured its sixth straight victory overall and fourth consecutive against a team from the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) with a 2-0 win versus Neumann University Wednesday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Senior forward Sabina DeGisi powered the Cavaliers offense, scoring the game's two goals.

The Cabrini defense pitched its sixth straight shutout and has not allowed a goal in the last 545 minutes, dating back to September 26 at home against Marywood University. Freshman goalkeeper Maddy Edwards needed just three saves for her fourth blanking of the year.

DeGisi put the Blue & White on the scoreboard in the 18th minute with her 11th goal of the season. She tickled the back of the net after receiving a serve in the box from junior forward Annmarie Kolla and sophomore Sammy Thomspon.

The Cavaliers added an insurance tally in the 54th minute with DeGisi 12th mark of the season and 56th of her career. DeGisi headed feed from Kolla and senior midfielder Jenna Laufenberg past Neumann goalkeeper Jacqueline McAllister.

The Cabrini offense recorded 30 totals shots on the afternoon. DeGisi led the Cavaliers' charge with nine shots, while sophomore forward Kara Hinkelmon added five.

The Cavaliers' defense played stingy for the entire 90 minute stretch, limiting the Knights' attack to just three total shots for the game. The shutout lowers Edwards' goals-against average to 0.55 for the season.

McAllister totaled 17 saves in the loss for Neumann.

The six-match win streak is the first in the seven-plus seasons under head coach Ken Prothero.

Cabrini (8-5-1, 4-1-1) returns to the road for a meeting with CSAC opponent Philadelphia Biblical University Saturday, October 17 at 1 p.m.
