RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision against non-conference opponent Arcadia University Saturday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Junior goalkeeper Gianna Porretta totaled a season-high 13 saves for the Cavaliers in the loss.
The Cabrini offense recorded 13 shots against the Knights. Senior Sabina DeGisi led the Blue & White on the offensive end with five shots. Freshman Maddy Edwards notched three.
Sophomore Stephanie Welch handed Arcadia a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute, scoring the eventual game-winner off a corner kick serve from junior Katie O'Malley.
The Cavaliers had their opportunities throughout the contest, but could not find the back of the net.
The Knights needed just one score to win their fifth game of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Jacki Law tallied 13 saves in the victory.
Cabrini (2-4-0) opens its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule Tuesday, September 22 at Immaculata University. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
