RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer team returned to its winning ways on Wednesday afternoon, blanking Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Baptist Bible College, 5-0, at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Sophomore forward Alex Tralie netted two goals for the Cavaliers in the win.
Tralie's two goals came less than 30 seconds apart just about mid-way through the first half. She found the back of the net at the 25:37 mark on an unassisted marker before converting a feed from senior forward Annmarie Kolla at the 26:05 mark.
Senior midfielder Dana Nardello notched the match's first goal and the eventual game-winning tally in the 16th minute, running under a beautiful pass from junior midfielder Kara Hinkelmon before beating Baptist Bible freshman goalkeeper Karin Mowry.
Hinkelmon ballooned the Cavaliers' lead to four goals, 4-0, in the 31st minute, depositing a shot attempt from nearly 30 yards out. The Cabrini attack generated 10 shot attempts in the opening 45 minutes.
Junior back Amy Loesser pushed the Cabrini advantage 5-0 in the 60th minute.
The Blue & White out-shot the Defenders for the match, 14-10.
Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy Edwards played the first half for the Cavaliers, earning the victory with one save. Freshman netminder Sarah Means came on in relief for the second half and totaled four stops.
Mowry lasted just 30:41, allowing four goals and posting three saves. Junior goalkeeper Cierra Byron played the remainder and made three stops.
Cabrini (11-3-0, 6-1-0) resumes its CSAC regular season schedule at home against Keystone College on Friday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. The match has been pushed up one day and moved to Edith Robb Dixon Field.
