HAVERFORD, Pa. – Senior middle hitter Stephanie Recklau tallied her 1,000th career kill on Saturday afternoon in tri-match hosted by Centennial Conference opponent Haverford College. The Cavaliers posted a 3-0 sweep against McDaniel College before a 3-0 loss versus the host Fords.
Recklau buried seven kills in the victory against the Green Terror and totaled six kills versus Haverford. Recklau, the 2009 CSAC Player of the Year, also notched four total blocks versus McDaniel.
Junior outside hitter Alexis Doss led the Cavaliers' offense with 11 kills on 20 attempts against the Green Terror. Freshman setter Alaina Clark served 23 assists in the victory.
Junior libero Courtney Abel led the Cabrini defense with eight digs. Freshman defensive specialist Kristy Riley recorded seven digs.
Against Haverford, freshman outside hitter Sophia Sokolovich recorded five kills. Clark added 19 assists.
Cabrini (21-7) has earned the No. 1 seed and a quarterfinal round bye in the CSAC Tournament. The Cavaliers will host a semifinal round match on Thursday, Nov. 4 at Nerney Field House. Opponent is to be determined.
