GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer team had its four-match win streak snapped on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 1-0 decision at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Gwynedd-Mercy's Christine Michalski netted the match's eventual winning tally in the 22nd minute. Adrienne McKeon was credited with an assist on the score.

The Griffins out-shot the Cavaliers for the match, 8-6. Cabrini earned the contest's lone corner kick attempt.

Senior goalkeeper Gianna Porretta posted six stops for the Cavaliers in the loss. Kristie Pollock totaled six saves for Gwynedd-Mercy en route to the victory.

The loss ends the Blue & White's 15-match win streak versus CSAC opponents. The Cavaliers' last loss in conference play came versus Marywood University, 4-2, on Sept. 26, 2009.

Cabrini (10-3, 5-1) resumes its CSAC regular season schedule at home against Baptist Bible College on Wednesday, Oct. 13. Match time against the Defenders is set for 4 p.m.
