ROSEMONT, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's basketball team has extended its win streak to a season-best six games following a 62-60 win at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Rosemont College Monday night. The Cavaliers overcame a 16-point second half deficit en route to the victory.

Senior point guard Deana DiAmico powered the Cabrini offense with a game-high 22 points, including 14 scored after intermission. DiAmico shot 8-for-13 overall and 6-for-8 from beyond the 3-point arc. She notched six rebounds and dished three assists.

DiAmico charged the Cavaliers to a come-from-behind victory one game removed from scoring her 1,000th career point at Cabrini. She became the program's ninth 1,000-point scorer all-time and first since the 2001-02 season in a 70-50 win against Rutgers University – Camden Feb. 1.

Senior combo guard Kate Walck scored in double figures for the first time in four games, tallying 11 points. Walck buried 3-of-7 long-range attempts. She also claimed five boards.

Senior combo guard Alyssa Brady totaled eight points, including three of the game's most critical points in the final minute. Sophomore combo guard Laura Caron recorded six points and a team-high eight caroms.

The Cavaliers trailed at halftime for the first time since Jan. 21 at home versus Neumann University. The Ravens shot 44.4 percent from the floor in the opening half and led by 14 points, 40-26, at the intermission.

DiAmico led Cabrini into the locker room with eight points, shooting 3-for-7 from the field. The rest of the squad struggled to find a rhythm and combined to shoot just 5-of-21 overall.

However, the Blue & White raced out of the gates in the second half with a 22-10 run, trimming its deficit to just two points, 50-48, at the 9:04 mark after a triple from DiAmico. Two possessions following, Caron dropped two free throws and tied the contest, 50-50, with 7:29 remaining.

The Cavaliers reclaimed its first lead of the game, 53-51, since the 14:07 mark of the first half following a 3-point basket from Walck at the 5:20 mark.

Cabrini led by four points, 59-55, with 2:09 on the clock. However, Rosemont senior forward Adriann Demchenko supplied the hosts with a one-point lead, 60-59, with 1:43 remaining.

The Blue & White responded on its next trip down as Brady sunk her lone 3-point field goal of the game, and just her second from the floor overall in 11 tries, providing the game-winning basket.

The Ravens had three looks at the basket in the final 43 seconds, including one at the buzzer, but could not convert.

The victory is the Cavaliers 11th straight versus Rosemont. The Blue & White owns a 38-2 series' advantage against the Ravens.

Cabrini (13-7, 9-2) remains on the road and will play at CSAC foe Neumann University Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. The Cavaliers will be looking to avenge one of its two conference losses this season, a 77-60 setback at the hands of the Knights Jan. 21.
