READING, Pa. -
The Cabrini women's basketball team concluded its non-conference regular season schedule Monday night at Commonwealth Conference opponent Alvernia University, suffering a 62-36 setback. The loss ends the Cavaliers' season-best six-game win streak.

Senior combo guard Alyssa Brady scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Cabrini in the loss. Brady shot 6-for-8 from the floor overall and knocked down 2-of-4 3-point field goals.

Through 21 games in 2009-10, Brady is averaging a team-best and career-high 14.8 points per game. She has led the Cavaliers in scoring in 14 games this season.

Freshman guard Dana Drake tallied a career-high six points in six minutes played off the bench. Senior point guard Deana DiAmico chipped in five points, three rebounds and three assists.

DiAmico, named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Week earlier Monday, scored the 1,000th point of her Cabrini career in a 70-50 win against Rutgers - Camden Feb. 1. She is the ninth player in program history and first since the 2001-02 season to reach the scoring milestone.

Sophomore forward Allie Toczylowski totaled a team-high 14 points and recorded 10 rebounds for the Crusaders in the win. Junior guard Kelli McIntyre also reached double figures, scoring 11 points.

The Blue & White's six-game win streak dated back to a 66-52 victory against Immaculata University at Madison Square Garden Jan. 23. The loss also ends the Cavalier's three-game win streak against non-conference opponents.

Cabrini (13-8, 9-2) begins the stretch run of its CSAC regular season schedule Thursday, Feb. 11 at Immaculata University. Game time against the Mighty Macs is set for 7 p.m.
