RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's soccer team scored two goals in the final 22 minutes en route to a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Marywood University on Saturday afternoon at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Senior midfielder Dana Nardello netted one goal and assisted on the eventual decisive tally in the win for the Cavaliers.

Trailing 1-0, Nardello pulled Cabrini even in the 69th minute, gathering a bouncing ball in the box before beating Marywood senior goalkeeper Meghan Coyle with her first goal of the season.

Just over 12 minutes later, the Blue & White secured a lead it would never relinquish with junior midfielder Kara Hinkelmon's third score this season. Hinkelmon took a pass in the box from Nardello, dodged a Pacers defender and tucked the go-ahead goal inside the near post.

Cabrini out-shot Marywood for the match, 13-9. Hinkelmon led the offensive charge with four shot attempts.

The Pacers jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage less than two minutes after the opening whistle. Sophomore back Lacey Habicht launched a free kick from nearly 25 yards out over the out-stretched hands of Cabrini senior netminder Gianna Porretta.

Porretta totaled five saves in the win for the Cavaliers. Coyle totaled four stops for the Pacers.

Today's contest featured a re-match of last season's CSAC title game. At the inaugural CSAC Fall Championship Festival hosted by Immaculata University, the Blue & White punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2003 season with a dramatic 1-0 overtime victory against Marywood.

Cabrini (7-2-0, 2-0-0) resumes it CSAC regular season schedule on the road at Neumann University on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Match time against the Knights is set for 6:30 p.m.
