Women's Soccer Edges Neumann University, 1-0

ASTON, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's soccer team remains unbeaten through three matches against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponents after a 1-0 win at Neumann University on Wednesday. Sophomore forward Dana Drake scored her second goal of the season for the Cavaliers in the victory.

Drake's goal off a corner kick feed from senior midfielder Dana Nardello at the 19:37 mark of the first half propelled Cabrini to the one-goal victory. Drake also scored the Cavaliers' game-winning tally in a 7-0 triumph versus Cedar Crest College on Sept. 18.

Cabrini out-shot the Knights for the match, 10-4. The Blue & White recorded seven shots in the opening 45 minutes of the contest.

Drake and junior midfielder Kara Hinkelmon each totaled three shot attempts. The Cavaliers also earned seven corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy Edwards needed just two saves for her second shutout of the season and the eighth of her Cabrini tenure.

Junior goalkeeper Brittany Russ posted six saves for the Knights in the loss.

Cabrini (8-2-0, 3-0-0) resumes its CSAC regular season schedule on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Immaculata University. Match time against the Mighty Macs is set for 1 p.m.
