IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team is unbeaten through four Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matches in 2010 following a 3-0 win at Immaculata University on Thursday night. Sophomore outside hitter Megan Ryan led the Cavaliers with 10 kills on 18 attempts in the victory.
Junior outside hitter Alexis Doss contributed eight kills on 16 attempts against the Mighty Macs. Freshman outside hitter Kristy Riley notched seven kills.
Freshman setter Alaina Clark tallied 27 assists, five digs and four kills.
Junior libero Courtney Abel recorded a match-best 17 digs. Freshman defensive specialist Michelle McCrossin totaled 14 digs and Riley added 10.
The Blue & White grabbed a one-set lead with a 25-20 victory in game one. The Cavaliers closed out the match with a 25-17 win in game two and a 25-22 triumph in the third frame.
Kathleen Haefner guided the Immaculata offense with 19 assists. Courtney Sahm posted 14 digs.
The victory is the Cavaliers' 17th straight against a CSAC opponent dating back to the 2009 campaign.
Cabrini (12-4, 4-0) returns to Nerney Field House versus CSAC foe the College of Notre Dame on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Match time against the Gators is set for 7 p.m.
