SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's soccer team had its seven-game unbeaten streak snapped today in a 3-1 loss at Marywood University. The Cavaliers' record now stands at 9-5-2 (7-2-1 CSAC) with one game remaining in the regular season.
The Pacers opened the scoring in the 13th minute and owned a 2-0 lead by the halftime break. The Cavaliers responded after halftime, as freshman
Devon Miller cut Cabrini's deficit to 2-1 just 14 seconds into the second half. The goal was Miller's fourth at the collegiate level.
The Blue and White fought for the next 14 minutes to secure the equalizer, but a Marywood penalty kick in the 70th minute iced the match.
Miller also recorded three of Cabrini's six shots on goal.
The Cavaliers will close their regular season on Tuesday, October 25 when they travel to Rosemont, Pa. to meet the Rosemont College Ravens. The match is set for 4:00 p.m.
