View Cabrini Volleyball Senior Night Photo Gallery
RADNOR, Pa. – It was a disappointing night for the Cabrini College volleyball team as they suffered their first home loss of the season, a 3-2 loss to Haverford College. Cabrini now sits at 19-10 on the year with one match remaining in the regular season.
The match featured two evenly matched teams going back and forth for five grueling sets. The Fords eventually triumphed 28-26, 21-25, 26-28, 25-17, 15-12.
Senior
Alexis Doss led three Cavaliers in double-figure kills with 19. Junior
Danielle Carrozza and sophomore
Michele Fitz added 13 and 12, respectively. Carrozza paired her 13 kills with 15 digs for her 12 double-double of the season.
Sophomore setter
Alaina Clark also notched a double-double with 57 assists and 10 digs. Fellow sophomore libero
Sophia Sokolovich recorded a match-high 29 digs for Cabrini.
Prior to the match, the Cavaliers recognized the careers of seniors Doss,
Courtney Abel, and
Beth Gillespie. As a group, the ladies won 88 games, including an astounding 39-3 record in CSAC play. They are seeking their fourth consecutive appearance in the CSAC tournament title game and their third straight conference crown.
The Cavaliers will close their regular season on Saturday when they travel to LaPlume, Pa. to face Keystone College.
