RADNOR, Pa. –
For the first time since the 2008-09 campaign, the Cabrini College women's basketball team has won its first three Colonial States Athletic Conference games after today's impressive 67-42 home win over the Keystone College Giants.  After its third consecutive win, Cabrini now stands at 4-2 and 3-0 in the CSAC.

The Giants posted an early lead but the Cavaliers managed to keep the game close through the first half.  Cabrini never allowed the Giants to extend their lead beyond five points. The Cavaliers even held the lead for a brief time, but managed to tie the score six times in the first frame.

With the score tied at 29, a different Cabrini team emerged from the locker room.  The Cavaliers found a renewed determination during the break and exerted their will from the opening whistle of the second half.

Just one minute into the half sophomore Leithie Faison swatted a Keystone lay-up. On Cabrini's next offensive possession, a lay-up by sophomore Colleen Stewart sent the Cavaliers on a 15-0 run.

The Cavaliers never stopped their offensive and defensive pressure.  The Blue and White shot 52.9% from the floor and recorded assists on 13 of their 18 second half field goals.  On the defensive end, Cabrini allowed Keystone to connect on just four field goals and forced 12 second half turnovers.

Cabrini outscored Keystone 38-13 in the second half.

For the second consecutive games, the Cavaliers got solid contributions from every player in uniform, as  all 12 players tallied at least two points or two rebounds.  Faison led all scorers with a career-high11 points, including seven after the break.  Sophomore Amanda Cundari added nine points off the bench.

Freshman Amber Keys grabbed a game-high seven rebounds in just seven minutes on the court.  Stewart and sophomore Annie Rivituso recorded six boards each, including five apiece on the offensive glass.

The Cavaliers will step out of conference play on Wednesday, December 7, when they travel to Reading, Pa. to face Albright College at 7:00 p.m.
