ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's soccer team improved to 2-1 on the season, winning their CSAC opener 3-0 at Cedar Crest College on Friday.
Junior
Dana Drake opened the scoring in the 15th minute when she connected on a corner kick from sophomore
Bethany Feinberg. The goal was Drake's first of the season.
Late in the first half, the Cavaliers notched the score sheet again. Senior
Kara Hinkelmon tallied her team-leading second goal of the year in the 36th minute on a cross by freshman
Gabby Meck.
The Blue and White closed the scoring just eight minutes into the second half when junior
Alex Tralie dribbled through the Cedar Crest defense to record her first goal of the year.
The Cavaliers recorded an astounding 26 shots on goal, including five each by Tralie and freshman
Melissa Scanzano.
Junior goalie Maddie Edwards held kept the Falcons scoreless in the first half, while freshman
Erin Gallagher and sophomore
Sarah Means combined to keep the Cedar Crest second half score sheet clean.
Cabrini (2-1-1, 1-0 CSAC) will face Arcadia University on Saturday. The action will begin at 12:00 p.m. in Glenside, Pa.
