RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini College Volleyball Team reached the .500 mark tonight after defeating the visiting Wilkes University Colonels tonight at Nerney Field House at the Dixon Center.  The 3-0 victory was the Cavaliers' second of the night, having already defeated Bryn Mawr College 3-0 earlier in the evening.

The Cavaliers appeared to be a bit sluggish after their layoff between matches, as the Colonels jumped out to an early 6-2 lead.  But as they had done in the third game against Bryn Mawr, the Cavaliers mounted a furious rally, scoring 11 of the next 15 points, forcing Wilkes to call a timeout trailing 13-10.  Cabrini continued its solid play after the break cruising to a 19-11 advantage, en route to a 25-17 Game One win.

The Blue and White continued its solid play into the second game, opening an early 4-0 advantage with sophomore Kristy Riley on the service line.  The Cavaliers continued to create offensive runs while on serve, as senior Courtney Abel and sophomore Alaina Clark each led Cabrini to six and five consecutive points, respectively, in the 25-14 Game Two victory.

Game Three was almost a mirror image of Game Two.  The Colonels jumped out to an early lead, and again Cabrini responded with dominating offense while holding serve.  Junior Danielle Carrozza recorded three consecutive points to pull the game even at eight, the Cavaliers regained control of the game on freshman Dana Wisniewski's six consecutive service points, including two aces, giving Cabrini a 15-12 lead.  The Cavaliers didn't look back, eventually closing the match with a 25-18 win in Game Three.

Senior Alexis Doss led Cabrini with 18 kills.  Carrozza and Clark recorded double-doubles with 12 kills and 20 digs and 33 assists and 13 digs, respectively.  Abel, Riley, and Sophia Sokolovich, combined for 33 digs in the win.

Cabrini (4-4) will travel to Swarthmore College on Friday to participate in the Garnet Volleyball Classic.  The Cavaliers will face Marymount University and Swarthmore College on Friday and Rutgers University-Camden on Saturday to determine an opponent in the final match on Saturday.
