HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Cabrini College volleyball team fell to 15-6 on the year after it stepped out of the Colonial States Athletic Conference tonight and stumbled at Haverford College 3-0. The Blue and White has now dropped two of its last four matches after its 11 match win streak.
The Fords built an early lead in the opening set, forcing Cabrini to play catch-up. The Cavaliers trailed by as many as five points midway through the set at 12-7 before climbing back to tie the match at 21. Three consecutive points by Haverford broke the tie and sent the Fords to the 25-22 set victory.
The teams opened the second set exchanging points until the score was tied at 12. Cabrini head coach
Eric Schaefer called a timeout after consecutive Haverford points. The break did not slow Haverford's run as the Fords built an 18-12 advantage. The Cavaliers would get no closer en route to the 25-17 second set loss.
Haverford built an early lead in the third set and extended it to 16-9 midway through the game before Cabrini mounted a comeback. The Cavaliers capitalized on Haverford's errors and a trio of service aces by freshman

Alaina Clark to score 11 of the next 15 points, tying the score at 20. The Blue and White took its first lead of the night at 22-21 but the Fords managed to regain the lead at 24-23. With the score tied at 25, the Fords secured the final two points of the match, taking the third set 27-25.

Danielle Carrozza led the Cavaliers with 14 kills and 13 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. Freshman

Meg Ryan combined for 11 kills on the night. Junior
Sophia Sokolovich matched Carrozza's 13 digs, while Koenig finished the night with 26 assists.
Meg O'Day and Keri Godbe combined for 29 kills to lead the Fords (16-6).
The Cavaliers will travel to Galloway, N.J. on Saturday for a tri-match at Richard Stockton College. Cabrini will face New York University at 1:00 p.m. and host Stockton at 3:00 p.m.
