RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's soccer team remained unbeaten in Colonial states Athletic Conference play as they battled Baptist Bible College to a 1-1 double overtime tie today at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The Blue and White now stands at 2-0-3 in the CSAC and 3-5-3 overall.
The Cavaliers dominated the stat sheet but failed to convert their chances. The Blue and White posted a season high 30 shots, including 11 on goal, while holding the Defenders to just five. Cabrini also held Baptist Bible without a corner kick, while attempting 12 of its own.
Cabrini's offensive firepower was on display from the opening whistle as the Cavaliers fired nine shots in the game's opening half. Defenders goaltender sophomore Katelyn King was on her game, recording four first half saves, including a diving effort on
Amy Held's shot in the final minute of the first half .
The Blue and White turned up the pressure after the halftime break. Sophomore
Melissa Scanzano finally broke through in the game's 56th minute. A ricocheted ball found Scanzano's right foot just outside the penalty area and the sophomore blasted home her first goal of the season.
Just six minutes later, the Defenders scored the equalizer as senior Melody Lyon's chip shot was just out of the reach of Cabrini goaltender
Maddy Edwards. The Cavaliers continued to push for the game winner, taking 10 shots in the game's final 28 minutes to no avail.
Cabrini continued to control the pace of the game through the overtime periods. The Cavaliers posted eight shots to Baptist Bible's one in the extra 20 minutes.

Dana Peterson led the Cavaliers with four shots each. Senior

Kristina Startare added three each.
Edwards completed the match with three saves, while King posted 10.
The Blue and White will travel o Aston, Pa. on Tuesday where they will face Neumann University. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
