BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Cabrini College volleyball team extended its win streak to five games with tonight's road win at Bryn Mawr College. The Cavaliers now stand at 7-4 after the 3-0 road victory.
The Blue and White opened the match with a tough 25-21 win in the first set. In the second, Cabrini jumped out to an early lead and dominated the set with a 25-10 final score.
Set three was a back and forth affair, as Bryn Mawr led for much of the set. The Cavaliers rallied late, eventually sealing the victory with a 25-20 set win.
Koenig, Cabrini's setter, also posted 32 assists and 11 digs. Junior
Kristy Riley converted a game-high three service aces.
Defensively, the Blue and White boasted three players with at least 11 digs. Carrozza scored a game-high 20, while junior
Sophia Sokolovich added 19.
Freshmen Noemi Moreno and Rachel Ofili led the Owls (4-7) with six kills each.
The Cavaliers will open Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play on Saturday when they welcome Centenary College to Nerney Field House.
The match is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. as the first of four Cabrini home athletic events during Cabrini's Family Weekend.
