RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's basketball team posted an offensive performance that matched its defensive dominance today, as the Cavaliers extended their win streak to six with an 85-63 win over Rosemont College. The victory improved the Blue and White to 10-3 overall and 6-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. The win extended Cabrini's current win streak to six consecutive games.

The Cavaliers wasted no time in taking control of the game as the Blue and White opened a 12-2 lead just over four minutes into play. The Cavaliers showed no let-up as they continued to build their lead. A traditional three-point play by Sandone increased the lead to 45-23 with 2:36 before the break. Rosemont closed the half on a 9-7 run to cut Cabrini's lead to 47-32 at the break.
The Ravens opened the second half with a bucket before the Cavaliers ran off 10 consecutive points, building their advantage to 57-34, five minutes into the half. The Blue and White kept its lead between 20-25 for the majority of the game's final 15 minutes, as it held Rosemont to under 30% second half shooting.
Cabrini held Rosemont to 33.8% shooting for the game, a season low for the Ravens. Rosemont's 35 total rebounds including 12 offensive rebounds, were also a season low.
The Cavaliers 85 points marks the club's highest offensive output since an 89-51 win over Notre Dame University of Maryland on November 30, 2011. The 33 made field goals also represent a season high. The Blue and White's 47.1% shooting percentage was also its second highest performance of the year.

Kristina Startare tallied eight points and joined Peterson with career highs. Sophomoe
Amber Keys paired eight points with nine rebounds. Junior
Colleen Stewart grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. Rivituso matched Keys with nine boards.
Rosemont senior Ashley Montecchio, the nation's leading scorer, paired 20 points, 17 in the second half, with 10 rebounds. Sophomore Liz Coyne matched her with 20 points, including just four in the second half.
Today's victory sets up Wednesday's battle for first place, as Cabrini will visit Gwynedd-Mercy College (9-5, 5-0 CSAC). Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Gwynedd-Mercy's Griffin Complex.
