ASTON, Pa. – For the second consecutive game, the Cabrini College women's basketball team pulled out a one possession victory, tonight topping the Neumann University Knights 63-60 at Neumann's Mirenda Center. The victory, the Cavaliers' 13th consecutive, improves the club to 18-3 overall and a program best 12-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Cabrini's 12-0 CSAC record marks the best league mark in program history. The 2008-09 Cavaliers opened their conference schedule 11-0 before droping their 12th league game. The team's 13 game win streak also matches that of the 196-97 club that finished the season 21-5 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

Amber Keys posted matching 12 point, eight rebound efforts for the Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers jumped out to an early lead, scoring the game's first four points. Minutes later, a pair of Sandone three pointers and a Keys lay-up sent the Blue and White to a 12-5 lead 6:30 into the game. The Knights responded with a 7-0 run of their own to tie the score but could not manage the bucket to take the lead. An 8-2 Neumann run finally gave the Knights a 24-22 halftime lead.
The Knights extended their lead early in the second half, using an early 8-0 spurt to take a 34-26 lead. Cabrini's deficit hovered between 5-8 points until the 13:49 mark when the Cavaliers made their move. Trailing 39-31, the Blue and white turned up the defense and ran to a 9-0 run, taking the lead at 40-39 midway through the second stanza. Neumann reclaimed a slight lead before junior

Sandone connected on a pair of free throws after senior
Laura Caron split a pair, claiming a 49-46 lead for the Blue and White. Rivituso's old fashioned three point play extended Cabrini's lead to five points with just over five minutes to play. The Knights got as close as 60-59 with 37 seconds to play, but a Caron bucket pushed the lead back to three points. Stewart's free throw with five seconds remaining held the lead at three before Neumann's final three point attempt missedthe mark.
The Cavaliers recorded the second half comeback on the strength of 64% shooting after the break, as all five started recorded at least five second half points. Sophomore
Megan Decker finished the game with nine points, while Caron posted five points, six rebounds and six assists.
Freshman JoHanna Metzger led the Knights (9-11, 7-4 CSAC) with 14 points and nine rebounds. Senior Bethany Humenik posted a double-double with 13 points adn 12 rebounds, along with five assists and four steals.
The Blue and White will return to action on Saturday when it visits Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
