ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer team improved to 4-3-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with today's 8-1 victory at Cedar Crest College. Eight different Cavaliers found the back of the net as the Blue and White recorded its highest scoring output since a win over Penn State- Abington on October 6, 2009.

Melissa Scanzano recorded her second goal of the season when freshman
Allie Vallen found her for a 2-0 lead.
In the 34th minute, senior
Bethany Feinberg tallied her first point of the season when she found fellow senior
Laureen Pallister. After outshooting the Falcons 16-1 in the opening 45 minutes, the Cavaliers carried a 3-0 lead into the half.
Cabrini came out of the break still firing on all cylinders, as sophomore
Meghan Martin tallied her team-leading fifth goal of the year less than five minutes into the second half. Sophomore
Kristina Startare netted her first career goal in the 54th minute on Scanzano's second helper of the day.
Following a 56th minute Cedar Crest goal, Scanzano found sophomore
Kaitlyn Cooper to extended Cabrini's lead back to four goals at 5-1. Fellow sophomore
Devon Miller added her third goal of the season in the 61st minute on an unassisted tally. Vallen closed the scoring in the 74th minute when she converted a pass from sophomore Kerri Hinklemon.
Freshman
Marissa Jenkins earned the victory in Cabrini's net, while fellow rookie
Diana Estrada posted three saves in relief duty.
Kristina Brandveen recorded 11 saves for Cedar Crest (2-7, 0-2 CSAC).
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday when they visit Scranton, Pa. to face Marywood University (3-5-1, 3-0 CSAC).
