RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer team improved to 5-1-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and 7-4-3 overall with today's 2-0 victory over the visiting Immaculata University Mighty Macs at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
With just three conference games remaining, the Cavaliers currently stand in second place, just one point out of first place in the league standings.
Junior
Melissa Scanzano put the Cavaliers on the board in the 13th minute when she completed a cross from fellow junior
Gabby Meck. The Blue and White carried the slim lead into the halftime break, despite outshooting Immaculata 8-2.
Cabrini turned up the pressure after the break, keeping the ball in its offensive half of the field for the majority of the period. Junior
Kaitlin Zisa doubled the Blue and White advantage in the 59th minute as her direct kick found the back of the net, marking the junior's first career tally. The Cavaliers continued to press for a third goal, building an 18-0 second half advantage in shots.
Twelve Cavaliers recorded at least one shot on the day, led by Scanzano and senior

Allie Vallen added three each. Cabrini's 10 corner kicks also represented a season high.
Freshman
Marissa Jenkins tallied her fifth career shutout and third in a row.
Goaltender Meghan McCurnin posted 10 saves for the Mighty Macs (5-7-2, 4-1-2 CSAC).
The Blue and White will return to action on Saturday when they visit Hackettstown, N.J. to face Centenary College (5-7-2, 5-2-1 CSAC), who is one point behind Cabrini in the CSAC standings. The match will be played at Hacktettstown High School at 1:00 p.m.
