HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Cabrini women's soccer team inched closer to the top of the Colonial States Athletic Conference standings with today's 2-0 win at Centenary College. The victory improves the Cavaliers to 6-1-2 in the conference and 8-3-4 overall. With just two league matches remaining, the Blue and White sit one point behind leader Rosemont.

Melissa Scanzano put Cabrini on the board early, as senior
Bree Thompson found her breaking to the net. The tally was the junior's fifth of the campaign.
The score remained 1-0 until the 54th minute when Thompson notched the goal column. Junior
Gabby Meck found the senior whose blast from 18 yards out found the bottom corner of the net.

Marissa Jenkins anchored a Cabrini defense that recorded its fourth consecutive shutout. Jenkins posted five saves in the Cabrini net.
The Cavaliers will hit the road on Wednesday as they visit Penn State-Abington. The nonconference action is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
