HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Cabrini volleyball team extended its win streak to eight matches with tonight's 3-0 win at Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. The 25-4, 25-5, 25-6 victory improves the Cavaliers to 15-3 overall and 5-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
The 15-3 start marks the best record through 18 matches in program history. The 3-0 final score also marks Cabrini's seventh consecutive win by a 3-0 score.
The Blue and White jumped out to big leads in each of the three sets and never looked back. The Cavaliers opened the night with nine consecutive points to open the match. Cabrini built a 15-0 lead in the second frame before scoring the first six points to open the third.
Senior
Michele Fitz led the Blue and White with a match-high nine kills and five total blocks. Freshman
Kelly Guarino added seven kills, while sophomore
Jen Grenauer scored six. Sophomore
Cassidy Koenig paired 23 assists with seven digs, as senior
Sophia Sokolovich tallied 14 digs.

The Cavaliers return to the familiar floor of Nerney Field House on Saturday to host Marywood University (11-4, 2-0 CSAC) and Richard Stockton College (14-5, 3-0 NJAC) for a day of volleyball. Cabrini will face Marywood at 11:00 a.m. and Richard Stockton at 3:00 p.m. Marywood and Richard Stockton will meet at 1:00 p.m.
