ALLENTOWN, Pa. – For the sixth consecutive season, the Cabrini volleyball has reached the 20 win plateau, reaching the mark with today's 3-0 victory at Cedar Crest College. With the win, the Cavaliers improve to 20-4, while remaining a perfect 9-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Tonight's win also marks the 150th career victory for Cabrini head coach
Eric Schaefer. Schaefer took the program's reigns prior to the 2007 campaign and has led the team to three CSAC championships and a 69-6 mark in conference action.
Senior
Michele Fitz led the Blue and White to the 25-10, 25-14, 25-13 victory with nine kills and six total blocks in two sets. Fellow senior
Danielle Carrozza added seven kills and six digs, while also seeing action in two sets.
Sophomore
Cassidy Koenig recorded 26 assists and served four aces, while senior
Sophia Sokolovich added a match high 11 digs. Senior
Kristy Riley added five kills and sophomore
Jen Grenauer four.
Jessica Lobien led the Falcons (8-10, 2-6 CSAC) with five kills.
The Cavaliers will step out of conference play on Thursday, when the Moravian Greyhounds (10-19, 1-4 Landmark) visit Nerney Field House. The Cavaliers will celebrate the careers of its four seniors prior to the 7:00 p.m. first serve.
