CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team earned a pair of victories today at the DeSales University Invitational, topping Muhlenberg College 3-0 and Ithaca College 3-1.

Senior Danielle Carrozza led the way with 30 kills on the day, while sophomore Jen Grenauer added 23.  Senior Sophia Sokolovich posted 40 digs, while sophomore setter Cassidy Koenig added 73 assists.

Carrozza recorded 16 of Cabrini's 38 kills in a 25-15, 26-24, 25-22 win over Muhlenberg.  The senior added a match-high three service aces on the night.  Sokolovich scored 18 digs in the win, pushing her past the 1,500 career dig mark.

Senior Michele Fitz had a solid all-around game, posting six kills, two service aces and five total blocks, including four of the solo variety.  Koenig tallied her eighth career double-double with 33 assist and 11 digs, to go with four kills and two block assists.

After dropping the first set against Ithaca25-21, the Blue and White rallied taking the next three sets 26-24, 25-13, 25-23.   Grenauer led the way with a career high 19 kills in the win.  Carrozza added a double dip with 14 kills and 15 digs, to go with a career high five aces.  Koenig totaled 40 helpers in the nightcap, while Sokolovich tallied 22 digs.

The Cavaliers will face another pair of tough tests on Saturday as they meet Albright College at Noon and the host DeSales University at 2:00 p.m.
