CHESTER, Pa. – Off to its best start since the 2009 season, the Cabrini volleyball team improved to 11-3 on the season with a pair of victories today at Widener University. The Cavaliers topped both the host and Haverford College by matching 3-0 scores.
In the morning match, the Blue and White posted a 25-15, 25-23, 25-15 win over Widener. Senior
Danielle Carrozza led the way with 17 kills against just one error. Senior Michelle Fits, sophomore

Kelly Guarino added six kills each. Senior
Sophia Sokolovich recorded 15 digs, while sophomore
Cassidy Koenig scored all 37 of Cabrini's assists.
The Blue and White returned to the court at Noon to face Haverford. The Cavaliers were determined not to drop a fifth consecutive match to the Fords. Carrozza continued to pace the Cabrini attack, scoring 11 kills, while Grenauer added nine. Senior
Michele Fitz paired eight kills with three solo blocks. Sokolovich and Guarino combined for 17 digs, while Koenig scored 28 assists.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Wednesday when they head to Baltimore to face Notre Dame (Md.). First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
