HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Cabrini women's basketball team put on another impressive defensive display today as it earned a 66-48 win over Centenary College today in Hackettstown, N.J. The victory improved the Blue and White to 14-4 overall and 8-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
The Cavaliers held the Cyclones to just 4-20 shooting in the opening half and 31.3% for the game, including 1-5 from three point range. The Blue and White also forced 22 turnovers, which it turned into 17 second chance points.
Senior
Brittany Sandone led the Cavaliers attack with 20 points, including 4-8 from three point range. Junior
Amber Keys added 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Sophomore
Kristina Startare paired eight points with a career high three steals.
Sandone hit a pair of three pointers to open the game as the Cavaliers scored the game's first eight points and never looked back. The Blue and White closed the opening stanza in a similar fashion as junior
Megan Decker found Sandone for another three pointer with five seconds to play, outing Cabrini up 36-16 at the half.
Cabrini showed no let-up after the break, as it scored seven of the first nine points of the period. The Cavaliers extended their lead to 56-28 on sophomore

Cabrini grabbed 43 rebounds to Centenary's 36, led by senior
Annie Rivituso who claimed nine rebounds. Senior
Colleen Stewart matched Keys with seven rebounds. Decker matched a career high with three blocked shots, to go with her seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Mallory George led the Cyclones (6-11, 4-4 CSAC) with a double-double, posting 18 points and 10 rebounds. Klarissa Perry added 13 points and six boards.
The Cavaliers will continue their road trip on January 29 when they travel to Clarks Summit, Pa. to face Baptist Bible College (1-12, 1-8 CSAC). Tip is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
