Last Meeting: Cavs hand Shorewomen 3-0 loss (9/3/14)
The Cavaliers picked up their first victory of 2014 with a 3-0 victory over the Washington College Shorewomen.
Melissa Scanzano opened up the scoring just 68 seconds after the opening whistle with an unassisted goal to put the Cavs up early. 20 minutes later, Julianna Ardire found Devon Miller who ripped one past the keeper for the 2-0 advantage. The Cavs would carry the 2-0 lead into the intermission.
The Shorewomen kept Cabrini's offense at bay for much of the second half until senior
Taylor Tralie iced the game in the 85th minute.
The Blue and White held a 17-11 advantage in shots on the afternoon, but were held without a corner kick as Washington College recorded the only two corners on the day.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cyclones snap Cavs six game win streak (10/14/17)
The Cavs nearly matched the Cyclones on the stat sheet as they had just four fewer shots and recorded two more corners on the day. Sophomore
Katelyn Gilinger and Tralie led the Blue and White in shots with three each and two coming on goal.
Centenary jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as junior Amanda Benoit corralled a blocked shot and was able to push it by senior keeper
Gabby LeGendre in the 2nd minute. The Cyclones extended their lead in the 30th minute with a goal from senior Emily Pizzuto. Centenary would carry the 2-0 lead into the intermission.
Centenary capped the scoring in the 68th minute and would ride the 3-0 score to their ninth win of the season.
Washington College Last Time Out: Shorewomen fend off F&M in OT thriller (10/14/17)
Washington College junior forward Olivia Sabatino became the team's all-time leader in career points and her twin sister Arianna Sabatino scored the game-winning goal as the host Washington College women's soccer team scored a 2-1 Centennial Conference overtime win over visiting Franklin & Marshall on Senior Day today.
The Shorewomen and Diplomats nearly matched each other shot for shot, as Washington College ended the game with a 13-12 advantage in shots and 5-4 advantage in shots on goal.
After a scoreless first half, (Olivia) Sabatino and the Shorewomen struck first in the 75th minute to take the late lead. Just three minutes later F&M's Reanna Leoni connected on the equalizer to even things at one a piece.
With 15 seconds left in overtime, Aranna Sabatino scored the game winner to give the Shorewomen their seventh win of the season.
