Last Meeting: Late struggles doom Cavs in season opener (11/15/16)
The Cavaliers battled back from an 11 point deficit and led with less than three minutes to play but, in the end, the Cabrini women's basketball team fell short in its effort to regain the Eagle Road trophy.

The Blue and White built an early lead, as senior Caroline Price connected on a pair of early three pointers. Neither team could establish any momentum, as the opening quarter boasted five lead changes and five ties.

Cabrini turned up the defense in the final minutes of the second quarter, as it closed the stanza on a 10-2 run. Erin Dodds and senior Kate Skalski both hit threes the final 90 seconds of the quarter to pull the Blue and White within 32-29 at the half.

Leading 52-49 with just 2:56 left in the game, the Blue and White saw its lead slip away, as it missed its next three field goal attempts and turned the ball over three times.  Meanwhile, the Eagles hit back to back buckets before hitting 6-10 from the free throw line down the stretch to capture the 59-53 victory.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Cavs fall in first round of ECAC Tournament (3/1/17)
Myonie Williamson paced the Cavaliers with 15 points and nine rebounds, while junior Nomi Washington scored 15 points to go with seven boards. sophomore Meghan Matthews paired eight points and seven rebounds in her first career start.

Cabrini fell behind early, as it struggled to find its offensive rhythm.  The Mustangs scored the game's first 13 points before Williamson's layup nearly seven minutes into the game. The offensive struggles continued into the second quarter for the Cavs, as another Williamson bucket marked the team's only points during the first eight minutes of the period. The Cavaliers found themselves looking up at a 29-10 halftime deficit after shooting just 18.2% from the field and notching 14 turnovers.

After scoring just 10 points in the opening 20 minutes, the Blue and White posted 36 second half points and recorded just five turnovers after the break. The big second half wasn't enough, however as the Mustangs were able to fend off the surging Cavs and hold on for the 57-46 victory.

Eastern Last Time Out: Upset bid at FDU-Florham falls short in MAC C'wealth Semifinal (2/22/17)
The Eagles led or were tied for much of the early part of the game. Led by Emily Lavin and senior Taylor Price, the Eagles had a 15-13 lead at the end of one quarter. That lead grew to 27-20 a the midway point of the second period when Price found junior Regie Robinson for a layup. The two teams went to the locker room tied at 27.

Neither team led by more than a possession for the first nine and a half minutes of the final period. The Eagles trailed 63-60 with 40 seconds left, and FDU's Raven Dowling came up with a steal, her seventh of the game.

The Eagles were forced to foul, and the Devils made enough free throws down the stretch to close out the game.
