Last Meeting: Offense stalls in loss to Royals (11/22/16)
The Cabrini women's basketball team got off to a slow start and never recovered, as the Cavaliers suffered an 83-23 loss at No. 3 Scranton University. 

Freshman Pattie Fortescue paired seven points and four rebounds, while Renee Oliver grabbed a team high six boards to go with four points.

Cabrini got off to a tough start, as it missed its first seven field goal attempts.  Scranton took advantage, scoring the game's first 23 points before an Oliver free throw opened the Cavaliers' scoring with 1:44 left in the first quarter.

The Cavaliers never found their shooting range at Scranton's Long Center, as the Blue and White shot just 14.3% from the field, including 1-18 from three point range.

The Cavs were led by sophomore Meghan Matthews who paced the offense with 17 points and chipped in four rebounds and three blocks. Junior Nomi Washington finished with 13 points while freshman Kate Lannon paired 12 points with six rebounds. 

Despite a lower shooting percentage than the Cavs, the Cougars forced 23 turnovers, resulting in 22 points and 14 fast break points. 

The Cougars' Marajiah Bacon finished with a game high 31 points and 10 steals to pick up the double-double. Sister Miesha Bacon added 14 points and four rebounds.

Eleven different players scored as The University of Scranton women's basketball team remained unbeaten with a 76-44 victory over the visiting Neumann University Knights on Monday evening. 

Freshman forward Chloe Burns came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points, two rebounds and two steals to pace the Scranton offense. Senior Katie Broderick picked up 12 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal, while junior Bridgette Mann added 10 points, five assists and three rebounds.

The Lady Royals used a 20-4 run from late in the first quarter through the midway point in the second quarter to turn an 11-10 lead into a 31-14 advantage. From there, they didn't look back, holding Neumann to just 13 points total in the second and third quarters and were able to coast to a 76-44 final.
