The Cavaliers struggled with their offensive touch from the opening whistle, shooting just 3-19 from the field in the first quarter.  Despite the struggles, the Cavaliers kept the game close. The Blue and White nearly erased an eight point lead in the final 47 seconds of the game, but came up just short as their last second game-tying attempt fell short. 

Six Cavaliers scored at least eight points on the day, with Nomi Washington leading the way with 14 points. The sophomore also tallied a career high eight assists and four steals. Erin Dodds added 12 points, while Myonie Williamson chipped in with 11 points.  Renee Oliver, Kate Skalski and Meghan Matthews recorded eight points each, with Oliver securing a game-high 11 rebounds.

Gab Giordano led the Pacers with 29 points, while Alyssa Olson added 15 points off the bench.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Defeated Centenary 48-46 (2/20/17)
Williamson played the role of hero for the Cavaliers, as they upset the #4 seeded Centenary Cyclones (20-6, 13-3 CSAC) in a first round thriller in the CSAC tournament. Tied at 46 apiece, Williamson drained a jumper as time expired to advance the Cavs to the semifinal round.  

Washington led the scoring charge for the Cavs as she finished with a team high 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Dodds also chipped in eight points and four assists.

Marywood Last Time Out: Defeated by Neumann 56-55 (2/18/17)
Just like the Cavaliers, the outcome of the Pacers' last game was decided with a buzzer-beater; the Pacers, however, weren't rejoicing when the buzzer sound. Alyssa Olson earned a steal and hit a jumper in the paint that gave Marywood the 55-54 lead with 4.2 seconds left. After three consecutive timeouts, Neumann's Mariah Maciejewski made a game-winning lay-in as time expired to give the Knights a 56-55 win over the Pacers.

Giordano led the Pacers with 21 points with four 3-pointers. Jordan Barth finished with her second double-double of the year with 12 points and 12 rebounds, in addition to six blocks.

• The Cavs currently rank third in the CSAC in scoring defense, allowing just 54.5 points per game.
• The Cavs defense has been especially stingy over their last seven games as they are allowing just 43 points per game. 
• The Cavs will have to slow down the Pacers' Gab Giordano, who scored 29 points in their last meeting and was named a first team All-CSAC player this week. 
• Cabrini is averaging the second most points per game against conference opponents this season with 70.2.  
• The Cavaliers use a balanced scoring attack with three players averaging at least 11 points per game - Dodds (12.7), Williamson (11.1) and Washington (11.0). 

5 Factors for Marywood

• In their two conference losses (Centenary and Neumann) the Pacers fell by a combined four points; both losses, however came at home. 
• The Pacers currently rank fourth in the CSAC in both scoring offense (64.6) and scoring defense (55.5).  
• Sticking with the conference rankings, Marywood sits atop the CSAC in field goal percentage, knocking down 41.5% of their attempts. 
• The Pacers thrive in the fourth quarter, averaging 17.6 points, while also holding their opponents to an average of just 13.9 points
• The Pacers are one of the hottest teams entering the conference tournament, as they are winners of 13 of their last 14 games.
