Last Meeting: Women's Soccer Tallies 4-1 Victory Over Wolverines (9/9/10)
Midfielder Sammy Thompson netted two goals, including the eventual game-winner, in the victory for the Cavaliers.
Fellow midfielder Kara Hinkelmon deposited her first goal of the season to give Cabrini its first lead of the match in the 17th minute. Thompson's first marker of the match came in the 27th minute, off a corner kick feed from midfielder Dana Nardello, supplied the Blue & White with a two-goal advantage, 2-0, at the intermission.
Forward Annmarie Kolla ballooned the Cabrini lead to three scores with her third goal of the season in the 48th minute. Thompson added the match's final tally in the 69th minute off a pass from Kolla inside the box.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cavs Handle Lightning 5-1 (9/28/18)
The Cabrini women's soccer team was in control from the beginning as they cruised to a comfortable 5-1 victory over the visiting Lehman College Lightning last Friday at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Cavs outshot the Lightning 16-3 and held an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks on afternoon. Cabrini turned those corners into goals as early pressure forced two own goals from the Lightning with the first coming in the opening minute.
Two more goals before the 20 minute mark gave Cabrini a comfortable 3-0 lead early. The Lightning would strike before halftime to cut the lead to 3-1, but a pair of second half goals silenced any hopes of a Lehman comeback.
Wesley Last Time Out: Second Half Goals Propel Wesley Over Rosemont (9/27/18)
Four second-half goals powered the Wesley College women's soccer team over the Rosemont Ravens, 5-2 on Thursday.
Emily Caldarelli got the game going with a goal in the first minute of the game. Jada Simon registered her second goal of the season in the 47th minute of the game off a free kick. Rosemont cut into the Wesley lead in the 68th minute when Maciana Mazzeo converted a penalty shot.
Two minutes later, Wesley's Mackenzie Forsythe put the Wolverines back up two goals with her fifth goal of the year off an assist from Caldarelli.
Both teams traded goals late in the game. In the 79th minute, Lauren O'Sullivan notched her second goal of the season off a feed from Amanda Moccaldi. Rosemont's Emily Johnson would score 15 seconds later. Less than a minute after Rosemont's goal, Caldarelli would net her second goal of the game off an assist from Kelsey Fitzpatrick.
