Last Meeting: Offense Goes Cold as Knight Top Cavs 6-0 (9/12/17)
Arcadia opened the scoring almost immediately as senior Jess Kelly put her team up 37 seconds into the game. The Blue and White defense tightened for the remaining 44 minutes of the half and early into the second as senior keeper Gabby LeGendre recorded six saves as well as the defense coming up with a block.

The Knights finally broke through, however as sophomore Veronica Garcia made it a 2-0 game with a shot from 20 yards out in the 63rd minute.  Arcadia would go on to score four more times in the remaining 27 minutes of play to hand the Cavs their first loss of the season.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Cavs Cruise to 3-0 Victory Over Ravens (9/8/18)
The Ravens, a familiar foe during the Cavaliers' time in the CSAC, struggled to mount an attack as the Blue and White defense allowed just six shots, including three on goal.

The offense was just as dominant on the afternoon as three different Cavs posted their first goals of the season and the Blue and White held a 14-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Junior Katelyn Gilinger tallied Cabrini's first goal in just the 6th minute thanks to a beautiful pass from classmate Marissa Portelli. The 1-0 lead would stand through the intermission.

Cabrini would double their lead in the 63rd minute after a goal from sophomore Brittany Purdy and assist from freshman Kaitryn Cloud. Just 12 minutes later, thanks to another feed from Portelli, junior Brenna Stocklin put the game on ice and gave the Cavs a 3-0 lead with just 15 minutes to play.

Arcadia Last Time Out: Knights Edge Muhlenberg 2-0 (9/9/18)
Erin Vander Plaat scored twice and Arcadia's women's soccer team remained unbeaten on the year with a 2-0 win over Muhlenberg on Saturday afternoon at a soggy Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavillion.

Vander Plaat opened the scoring in the 24th minute and despite dominating possession and the run of play, the Knights were unable to add to their lead in the first half and took the 1-0 advantage into the break.

In the second half, the Knights defense continued to contain the Mules, not allowing a single shot the half. In the 88th minute, Vander Plaat struck again. Julie Oswald's shot from distance was parried away by the Mules' back up goalkeeper, Marissa D'Alessandro, and after a brief scrum in front, Vander Plaat got her foot on it once more and make it 2-0 with under two minutes to play.

5 Factors for Cabrini
  • The Cavaliers are coming off their first shutout of the season as they held the Ravens to just three shots on goal on Saturday.
  • The Blue and White rank second in the conference in shots (53) and corner kicks (25).
  • Cabrini features a balanced attack as all six of the Cavs goals have come from a different player.
  • Junior Marissa Portelli recorded the first two assists of her career in Saturday's game at Rosemont.
  • Through three games, the Blue and White hold an impressive 25-5 advantage in corner kicks over their opponents.
5 Factors for Arcadia
  • The Knights are coming off back-to-back shutout wins over Ursinus College (1-0) and Muhlenberg College (2-0).
  • Arcadia is paced offensively by junior Veronica Garcia, who has tallied two goals, including a game winner, on a team leading nine shots.
  • Keeper Brianna Williams returns to the net after allowing just 18 goals in 22 games last season. The sophomore has allowed just two goals in four games this season.
  • Arcadia returns plenty of experience from last season's MAC Commonwealth championship team; a team that pulled off an enormous 1-0 upset of top ranked Messiah College.
  • Key returners for the Knights include seniors Veronica Pontis, Mia Bertolami and Stephanie Maggio. Pontis earned First-Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors last season, while Bertolami and Maggio took home Second-Team honors.
