Last Meeting: Cabrini 49, Marymount 60 (3/4/16, Scranton, PA)
In what one would expect from two of the best defensive teams in the country, both teams struggled to find their rhythms in the opening period, as the teams combined for just seven made field goals.

Marymount posted the game's first five points before Martin's back to back buckets pulled Cabrini to within 5-4.  A Saints' triple pushed the lead to 8-4 midway through the period, but it marked Marymount's final points of the quarter.  Layups by Dana Peterson and Sabrina Hackendorn evened the score at 8-8 after 10 minutes.

The teams began to find their offensive flows as they emerged for the second quarter. Kate Skalski gave the Cavaliers their first lead of the night, as Peterson found her for a three pointer on Cabrini's first possession of the period.

With the score tied at 13, the Blue and White began to use its defense to spur its offense.  The Cavaliers held the Saints scoreless for 3:32 and snapped the deadlock with an 8-0 run, building a 21-13 cushion with three minutes left in the half.

Marymount found its shooting stroke in the final minutes of the second quarter, connecting on five of its final six field goal attempts of the half, including a pair of three pointers.  The Cavaliers saw their eight point lead turn into a two point halftime deficit, as Marymount closed the half on a 12-2 run to take a 25-23 lead into the halftime break.

Following a near even third quarter, a lay-up by Renee Oliver temporarily gave Cabrini a lead before the Saints went an 11-2 spurt to build a 48-40 cushion with six minutes to play.  The Blue and White had an answer, scoring seven consecutive points, as Meghan Martin connected on a pair of free throws to cut the deficit to 48-47 with 3:25 to play.

Unfortunately, the Cavaliers went cold from the floor, as Marymount pulled away late en route to the eventual 60-49 final.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 89, Neumann 68 (1/19/19, Aston, PA)
The offense, which struggled to find a rhythm early in the season, recorded their third consecutive game scoring at least 84 points and featured five Cavaliers in double figures.

Junior Meghan Matthews led the charge with a team and season high 22 points, as well as eight rebounds and four assists in just 25 minutes of action. Sophomore Ashley Tutzauer was right behind with 21 points, including five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

As has been the case during the Cavaliers' four game win streak, the offense got off to a blazing start as they opened the game on a 10-to-2 run, highlighted by a pair of triples from Washington and Edwards.

The Knights responded with a 7-to-2 run of their own to pull back to within three points with 5:32 left in the first, but a pair of free throws from senior Gaby Jones, followed by back-to-back layups from Tutzauer and Matthews, pushed the Cabrini lead back to 18-11. The trio of baskets sparked a 16-to-6 Cavalier run to end the quarter.

The strong opening quarter for the Blue and White was key as the Knights inched closer over the second and third quarter, pulling to within seven points just before the end of the third.

That is as close as Neumann would come, however thanks to a 14-to-2 run to start the final stanza. In total, the Cavaliers would outscore the Knights 25-13 over the final 10 minutes en route to a comfortable 89-68 victory.

Marymount Last Time Out: Marymount 86, Wesley 24 (1/19/19, Dover, DE)
The Marymount University women's basketball team had no issues throttling to its sixth-straight victory on Saturday afternoon, topping Wesley College 86-24, while Regan Lohr eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier with her first basket of the fourth quarter.

Lohr, who needed just 18 points entering Saturday's matchup, put down a game-high 21 points for her sixth game this season with at least 20 points. It was her opening shot in the fourth quarter that put her at the 18 she needed, catching an inbounds pass on the right wing, firing up a three-pointer.

Lohr was joined by the full roster for the Saints on the scoreboard, as every player registered points. Also finding double figures in scoring were Tyffani McQueen and Katie McShea with 15 apiece, followed by Gabriella Haddad's 12 points.
