Last Meeting: Cabrini 66, Marywood 42 (1/30/19, Scranton, PA)
The Blue and White were led offensively by senior Nomi Washington who tallied 19 points on an efficient 8-of-12 from the field in just 19 minutes of action. Sophomore Kate Lannon recorded her third double double of the season after pairing 11 points and 10 rebounds, while classmate Lexi Edwards and junior Meghan Matthews rounded out the Cavaliers in double figures with 10 points each.

The Cavalier defense was dominant on the night as they held the Pacers to just 13 made field goals and 27.7 percent from the field, highlighted by the Pacers shooting just 18 percent in the third quarter. The defense also forced a total of 21 turnovers and scored 18 points off turnovers.

Cabrini jumped out to a 7-0 lead just under the eight minute mark, highlighted by a triple from freshman Dani Tyrell. A 9-to-0 Pacer run ensued to give Marywood their first lead of the game, but back-to-back three pointers from sophomore Ashley Tutzauer sparked an 11-to-2 Cavalier run to end the quarter.

The Cavs cushioned their lead in the second quarter thanks to a 14-to-5 run to balloon the score to 38-19 at the intermission.

As mentioned, the Cavalier defense had their way in the third quarter as they limited the Marywood offense to just 2-of-11 from the field. The Pacer drought allowed the Blue and White to pull away as they built a game high 29 point lead following a layup from Edwards with 5:08 to play in the quarter.

An even final stanza gave way to the eventual 66-42 final and the Cavs' 13th win of the season.

Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 50, Marymount 66 (2/16/19, Arlington, VA)
Sophomore Kate Lannon led the offense with a team high 13 points, while Ashley Tutzauer was right behind her classmate with 12 points. Junior Meghan Matthews added six points and four rebounds, but was limited to just 16 minutes due to foul trouble.

The Blue and White got off to a slow start as the Marymount defense limited the Cavs to just 2-for-11 from the field in the opening 10 minutes. The slow start resulted in an early 12-5 deficit after one quarter of play.

A Tutzauer three early in the second quarter briefly trimmed the Saints' lead to 13-8, but an 8-to-4 response from Marymount pushed the Saints' lead to 21-12. Marymount's Katie McShea and Tyffani McQueen delivered back-to-back triples with under a minute left in the half to give the Saints an eventual 31-16 lead at the break.

The second half featured a more balanced offensive attack from the Blue and White, highlighted by a 47 percent mark from the field in the fourth quarter, but the Marymount attack continued its' consistent play. The Saints shot a combined 48 percent from the field in the second half and committed just six turnovers to the Cavaliers' nine.

The turnaround wouldn't be enough, unfortunately as Marymount was able to fend off the late Cavalier charge for the eventual 66-50 victory.

Marywood Last Time Out: Marywood 70, Gwynedd Mercy 53 (2/18/19, Scranton, PA)

Aryah Aungst came through with 15 points and four assists for the Pacers. Alyssa Olson provided nine points, six assists three steals, and six rebounds. As a team, the Pacers blocked a season-best nine shots, led by Emily Theobald's four.

Thanks in part to a 15-point run, the Pacers rushed out to a 24-point lead in the first half. The Marywood defense held the Griffins in check, keeping them to 22.7 percent shooting for the game. Gwynedd Mercy was kept to just one field goal in the second quarter (5.3 FG%) and two field goals in the fourth quarter (11.1 FG%).

Marywood (13-13) beats Gwynedd Mercy in the playoffs for the first time in program history. The Pacers end a four-game playoffs losing streak to the Griffins. It marks the fourth consecutive season Marywood has reached a conference semifinal.
