Box Score READING, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team claimed a decisive 3-1 victory over the hosting Alvernia University Golden Wolves on Saturday evening.
The Blue and White offense was a constant threat to the Alvernia back line as the Cavs racked up 17 shots, including 10 shots on goal, while also tallying six corners.
Cabrini's defense, meanwhile, limited the hosts to just five shots and a pair of corners in the 90 minute contest.

Brittany Purdy paced the Cavalier offense as each tallied a goal on three shots. Fellow veteran
Maddy Wojton rounded out the Cavs to mark the scoring column with her first goal of the season.

Kait Cloud each added assists in the victory.
Gilinger handed the Blue and White the early lead in the 18th minute after taking a pass from Portelli and weaving her way past Alvernia keeper Lily Sankey for an open shot on net.
Cabrini doubled their lead 18 minutes later thanks to strike by Purdy. The 2-0 score would stand through the intermission.
Wojton would ultimately cap the scoring for the Cavaliers in the 58th minute to put the game on ice. The Golden Wolves struck for a late goal in the 77th minute for the eventual 3-1 final.
Following today's game the Cavs improve to 6-2-1 overall. They will look to add to their win total on Tuesday, October 1st when they travel to Abington, PA to take on Penn State Abington. Game time is slated for 4pm.
