The Cavaliers could not overcome a slow start, as the Blue and White saw the Bulldogs score the game's first 15 points of the game. Cabrini shot just .115 in the first half and trailed 31-16 at the break.

Cabrini could not rebound in the second half, as the club had its worst offensive display of the season, recording season lows in points, field goals made (11) and field goal percentage (.200).

Juniors Ashley Tutzauer and Kate Lannon were the only Cavaliers to score in double figures, recording 13 and 11 points, respectively, while both claimed six rebounds.

Sophomore Samantha Shinkus led the Bulldogs with 17 points, 15 rebounds and four steals in just 31 minutes of action, while classmate Averi Jordan added 15 points.

The Blue and White's upset bid fell just short, as the Cavaliers suffered an overtime loss in a game that featured six ties and seven lead changes in the fourth quarter, alone.

Cabrini trailed by as many as four points in the tightly contested final quarter and was down 72-69 in the final seconds of regulation before junior Lexi Edwards drained a three pointer from the wing with just 1.2 seconds to play, sending the game to overtime.

The Profs netted the first six points of the extra period but the Cavaliers pulled within 83-82 after a pair of free throws by senior Cassidy Gallagher with just 60 seconds to play. The Blue and White came up empty on their next two offensive possessions, allowing the visitors to push their lead to an insurmountable five points with three seconds on the clock.

Five Cavaliers scored in double figures, led by freshman Katie Rodriguez, who scored a career best 18 points to go with six rebounds and three blocked shots. Tutzauer nearly posted a rare double-double, recording 16 points and a career high nine steals.

Edwards added 17 points and a career high six assists, while Lannon added 10 points, nine boards, four assists and two blocked shots. Gallagher chipped in with a season best 12 points, six dimes and five boards.

DeSales Last Time Out: DeSales 67, Claremont-Mudd-Scripts 63 (12/30/2019, Las Vegas, NV)
The Bulldogs scored the final 10 points of the game to secure a win over CMS at the d3hoops.com Classic, rebounding from the club's second loss of the season two days earlier.

Trailing 63-57 with 2:15 to play, DeSales mounted a late comeback, despite making just one field goal over the game's final six minutes.

In the game's final 30 seconds, senior Molly Jansco scored the game's final five points and grabbed the final three rebounds, including an offensive board that led to the game-winning bucket.

Jansco led the Bulldogs with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Shunkus added 13 points. Jordan and freshman Maria Newsome chipped in with 10 points each.
