READING, Pa. –
The Cabrini field hockey team extended its win streak to four game Thursday, blanking non-conference foe Albright College, 1-0. Sophomore Shannon Mulhern provided the Cavaliers with their lone goal in the win.

Sophomore goalkeeper Caitlin Donahue totaled five saves in her second shutout of the season. With the win, Donahue's save percentage has escalated to .859 in 2008.

The Cavaliers' offense registered 10 total shots, firing five in each half. Freshman forward Lauren Alessi paced the attack with a team-best three attempts.

Following a scoreless first half, Cabrini tallied the game's decisive tally in the 58th minute. Junior Lynda Kaufmann's long crossing pass into the box found Mulhern for the contest's only marker.

Mulhern also played a critical role in helping preserving the Cavaliers victory, recording the team's first defensive save of the season.

The Cavaliers' defense stifled the Lions offense, allowing just eight total shots throughout the game.

Albright cageminder Kaitlyn Johnstone collected three saves in the loss.

Cabrini (7-4, 2-0) looks to win its third straight Colonial States Athletic Conference game Saturday, October 4 at Immaculata University. Game time is scheduled 1 p.m.
