RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball improved its record in Colonial States Athletic Conference play to an undefeated 2-0 Saturday morning, sweeping new league member Baptist Bible College at Nerney Field House. Sophomore Stephanie Recklau powered the Cavaliers' offense with a team-best nine kills.
Junior setter Lizzie Williams orchestrated a Cabrini offense that notched a .295 attack clip with a club-high 22 assists. Williams added 10 digs for her third double-double of the season.
Senior Lindsay Martin and freshman Alexis Doss totaled six kills each. Martin contributed four assists to the Cavaliers' offense.
Defensively, senior Michelle Mola collected nine digs, ranked second behind Williams. Freshman Courtney Abel contributed seven digs.
Freshman Beth Gillespie led the Cavaliers at the net with three block assists.
The Cavaliers cruised to a two-set lead with commanding 25-11 and 25-12 wins. Cabrini closed out the Defenders with a 25-16 win in the final set.
Cabrini (8-8, 2-0) remains at home, welcoming Centenary College Tuesday, September 30 at 7 p.m.
