The No. 7 Cabrini men's lacrosse team will look to return to the win column Saturday, hosting Hampden-Sydney College Saturday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The Cavaliers and the Tigers face-off at 1 p.m.

The Cavaliers own a 19-3 record all-time at Edith Robb Dixon Field since the 2007 season. Cabrini has won nine straight games on its home turf, dating back to the 2008 season. The Blue & White is 2-0 at home in 2009.

The Cavaliers suffered their first loss of the 2009 season, dropping a 16-11 decision at No. 11 Lynchburg College March 7. Senior midfielder Matt Conaway led the Cabrini offense with five points on four goals and one assist in the loss.

Junior attackman Casey Grugan tallied his 100th career goal against the Hornets. Grugan has recorded at least one point in each of his 42 career games player with the Cavaliers.

Cabrini is 2-0 all-time against Hampden-Sydney College in a series that debuted in 2007. The Cavaliers knocked off the Tigers, 7-6, in overtime. In 2008, Cabrini topped Hampden-Sydney, 14-9.

Hampden-Sydney College
The Hampden-Sydney men's lacrosse team is coming off an 11-7 loss against No. 12 Washington College March 11. The Tigers are 2-3 overall this season following a 17-0 win at Randolph College and an 18-7 victory against Marymount College.

Hampden-Sydney is 1-1 on the road this season. The Tigers are 0-2 all-time agains Cabrini. The Cavaliers earned a 7-6 overtime win against Hampden-Sydney in 2007. Cabrini knocked off the Tigers on the road in 2008, winning 14-9.

Hampden-Sydney head coach Ray Rostan is in his 25th season in 2009. Rostan owns 254 career wins at the intercollegiate level, including 217 with the Tigers. He lists third in all-time wins among NCAA Division III head coaches. Rostan has led his teams to seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Senior attackman Andrew Mahoney and junior midfielder Kyle Jett have each totaled a team-high 13 points. Mahoney leads the Tigers with 11 goals, while adding two assists. Jett has buried six goals and tallied seven helpers.

Freshman midfielder Carter Mavromatis is scooped a club-best 16 groundballs. Junior goalkeeper Mark Bagby has started all five games in the cage for the Tigers, posting a 10.00 goals-against average and a .533 saves percentage. Bagby has tallied 57 saves.
