MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Cabrini men and women's track & field teams continued their 2010 outdoor schedules on Saturday afternoon, competing in the Millersville Metrics hosted by Millersville University. Freshman
Jaiquann Beckham headlined the Cavaliers' efforts with a second-place performance.
Beckham ran the 400m dash for the first time during the outdoor season this afternoon, finishing second with a time of 51.45 seconds. Previously, he primarily competed in the 800m run.
Also on the men's side, rookie
Tyler Rooke competed in the 5000m run (16:42.04) and 1500m run (4:32.11), placing 13th and 18th, respectively.
Junior
David Stone finished 24th in the 5000m run with a time of 20:03.13. The Cabrini men's team did not place in the team standings.
In women's competition, sophomore
Quiana Volney placed ninth in the 800m run with a season-best time of 2:28.54. Freshman
Nadia Hernandez listed 10th in her debut in the 800m run with a time of 2:31.97.
Freshman
Jessica Merone competed in the 1500m run (5:49.24), placing 20th. The Cavalier women did not place in the team standings.
The Cabrini men and women's track & field teams are back on the outdoor oval at the Narkiewicz Invitational hosted by Misericordia University on Friday, April 30.
