DALLAS, Pa. - The Cabrini men and women's track & field teams were back in action on Friday
afternoon at the Narkiewicz Invitational hosted by Misericordia University. Freshmen
Nadia Hernandez and
Tyler Rooke led the Cavaliers' efforts.
Hernandez finished first overall in the 400m hurdles, clocking a season-best time of 1:07.36. She placed second in the same event with a previous-best time of 1:10.21 on April 9.
Rooke placed second in a pair of races, posting runner-up times in the 1500m run (4:24.85) and 5000m run (17:11.27).
Also on the women's side, junior
Quiana Volney clocked her top time of the outdoor season thus far in the 800m run, finishing fourth with a time of 2:27.06. Freshman
Jessica Merone raced to a seventh-place finish in the 1500m run with a time of 5:40.55.
In men's competition, freshman
Jaiquann Beckham listed second in the 400m dash (50.67) and fourth in the 200m dash (23.41).
The Cavalier men and women's teams did not place in the team standings.
The Cabrini men and women's track & field teams are back on the outdoor oval on May 8 at the Randall's Island Foundation meet.
