RADNOR, Pa. –
Junior forward Stephanie Campanaro scored two goals, including the game-winning tally less than seven minutes into the extra session, in the Cabrini field hockey team's 2-1 overtime victory against Marywood University on Saturday afternoon at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The Cavaliers out-shot the Pacers for the game, 25-4.

Campanaro broke free at the midfield line, carried the ball up the right side of the field and unleashed a shot across Marywood sophomore goalkeeper Jamie Bowman, striking the left corner of the cage. The goal is Campanaro's second game-winning tally of the season and the fourth of her career.

After 63 minutes of scoreless play, Campanaro put Cabrini on the scoreboard with 6:26 remaining, converting her second penalty stroke goal in three games. The Cavaliers earned the free attempt after the Marywood defense committed an infraction inside the arc.

Campanaro is enjoying a career season through just eight games in 2010. She lists third on the team with seven points on three goals and one assist.

The Pacers responded quickly, tying the contest at 1-1 after freshman forward Kathryn Morin corralled a loose ball in front of the Cabrini cage and beat senior goalkeeper Caitlin Donahue at the 66:03 mark.

Campanaro led the Blue & White with nine shots. Junior midfielder Maura Gordon recorded eight shot attempts.

Donahue earned her 35th career victory, including a point-blank stop on the doorstep during overtime.

Bowman kept Marywood in the contest down the stretch and into overtime, notching 16 saves for the Pacers in the loss.

Cabrini (4-4, 1-1) resumes its CSAC schedule at home against Neumann University on Wednesday, Sept. 29. The Cavaliers topped the Knights, 1-0, in last year's conference title tilt. Game time against Neumann is set for 6:30 p.m.
