SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini College field hockey team pushed its win streak to five games with today's 4-1 win at Keystone College. The Cavaliers now stand at 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the CSAC with four games remaining in the regular season.
Senior
Stephanie Campanaro gave the Cavaliers an early lead when she converted a pass from fellow senior
Lauren Alessi in the game's fourth minute. Keystone tied the score in the 27th minute to send the game to the halftime break tied at one goal apiece.
The Cavaliers took control of the game in the second half. Five minutes after the break, junior
Taylor McGarvey tallied the eventual game-winning goal after a pass from Campanaro.
In the 59th minute, Alessi added the first of her two goals to her previous assist. After a pass from junior
Lindsey Atzert, Alessi pushed the ball past Keystone's keeper. The senior closed the game with 90 seconds on the clock when she converted a pass from fellow senior
Maura Gordon for her ninth goal of the season.
Sophomore
Genevieve Paulin recorded seven saves in the win.
The Cavaliers will welcome the College of Notre Dame to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Tuesday afternoon. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
