RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College field hockey team extended its current win streak to six games after today's 4-0 win over the visiting Notre Dame of Maryland University Gators. The Cavaliers' record now stands at 10-4 overall and 5-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC).
Cabrini opened the scoring in the fourth minute when junior
Lindsey Atzert tallied the first of her three goals on the day. Atzert knocked in a rebound for her ninth goal of the season.
Ten minutes later, Atzert found herself alone next to the post on the right side of the goal. Senior
Lauren Alessi slid the ball across the mouth of the goal where Atzert easily redirected the ball into the goal.
In the 20th minute, Atzert scored her final goal of the day when she connected on a pass from junior
Katie Savage.
On the ensuing restart, the Cavaliers stole the ball and rushed the Gators' goal. In less than 10 seconds, Atzert found Alessi for Cabrini's fourth goal.
The Blue and White recorded an astounding 24 corners, including 17 before the halftime break. Cabrini outshot Notre Dame (Md.) 14-0.

Vicky King combined in Cabrini's net for the win.
The Cavaliers will travel to Ewing, N.J. on Thursday to face the College of New Jersey at 7:30 p.m.
