RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini Cavalier field hockey team punched its ticket to a fourth consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference title game today, with a come from behind 3-2 win over the visiting Neumann University Knights.  The Cavaliers will face a yet to be determined opponent in Saturday's CSAC final.

Cabrini struggled early in the game,  looking to be a bit nervous and a step slow.  The Knight's capitalized on Cabrini's sluggish start with a goal in the eighth minute of play.

Ten minutes later, seniors Lauren Alessi and Stephanie Campanaro connected on a penalty corner to tie the score.  Alessi's corner hit found Campanaro on the penalty circle for a rocket shot.

Neumann immediately responded, retaking the lead less than one minute later.  As the game went to half, the Knights had converted their three shots on goal into a 2-1 lead.

After an inspired halftime, the Cavaliers entered the second stanza with renewed spirit.  The Blue and White appeared to be flying around the field, beating the Knights to every ball.

In the 47th minute, Campanaro recorded her second goal of the game and ninth goal of the season.  Junior Taylor McGarvey notched her first assist of the season on the game-tying tally.

Cabrini continued to push their offense while the defense, led by goalie Genevieve Paulin and Rita McKeown continued to hold the Knights at bay.  Paulin emerged from her goalie crease several time to stop quality scoring chances.

The Blue and White finally broke the tie in the 61st minute when junior Lindsey Atzert dribbled the ball around a defender in the left corner and drove the baseline, sliding a shot past Neumann's goalie.  Atzert's 13th goal of the season was also her 6th game-winner of the season.

The Cavaliers outshot Neumann 16-4 on the game, including 9-0 in the second half.  Atzert led Cabrini with eight shots, five on goal.

Cabrini (12-6) will face the winner of tonight's second semifinal between Immaculata University and Gwynedd-Mercy College in Saturday's final.   The Cavaliers have appeared in the last three CSAC Championship games, taking the crown in 2009 and 2010.
