RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College field hockey team dropped to 1-3 on the young season after today's 4-1 home loss at the sticks of Gettysburg College.
It was the Cavaliers' first game action in six days after rain postponed Wednesday's game at Delaware Valley College.
The Bullets opened the scoring in the 13th minute and led 2-0 in the 19th minute when Cavaliers Head Coach
Jackie Neary made a goalie change. Sophomore
Genevieve Paulin replaced the starter junior Vicky Young. At the halftime break, Cabrini trailed 3-0.
Trailing 4-0, the Cavaliers marked the score sheet in the 54th minute when senior
Lauren Alessi pass connected with fellow senior
Stephanie Campanaro. The tally was Campanaro's second goal of the season.
Paulin recorded three saves in the loss.
The Cavaliers will return to the Edith Robb Dixon Field on Tuesday, September 13, when they host Albright College. The game is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
